About Tammy

My name is Tammy Hanson. I was born in Concord, NC and have lived in the Piedmont area of North Carolina my entire life until moving to Carolina Beach in 1996. Prior to moving to the coast, I was living in Charlotte, NC where I had my two daughters. That is where I decided to go into Real Estate and became a REALTOR® in 1996. After moving to Carolina Beach, I received my Broker’s license in 2001.

For the past 30 years I have enjoyed practicing Real Estate in the tri-county area of the Cape Fear Region. After 25 years of beach life, we were ready for a slower pace and a taste of country living. My first transaction after moving here from Charlotte was a land sale in western Pender County for a family with horses. I have always thought this area was beautiful and loved the small-town appeal so in 2021 we moved to the town of Currie just outside of Burgaw along with our Grandson, 2 dogs, an Amazon Parrot, 19 chickens, 3 ducks and 2 cats.  Yes, we traded city life for farm life, but the beach is still part of our regular routine. We love western Pender County, and it is only 20 minutes from downtown Wilmington. Since moving here I love volunteering at my Grandson's elementary school. I am also a club leader for the Pender County 4H Robotics Club and have recently become a member of the Burgaw Rotary Club.
